Initiate, raise awareness, get involved
Since 2023, KMWP has been regularly visiting the SupBiotech engineering school, on the Villejuif and Lyon campuses, to run introductory self-defense workshops. These workshops are primarily aimed at young women, teaching them the basics of self-defense and raising their awareness of gender-based and sexual violence. It is an opportunity for them to discover practical tools to protect themselves, but also to develop their confidence and ability to react in a given situation.
Young men also take part in some sessions, thereby promoting wider dissemination of prevention messages and collective awareness of violence against women. These mixed-gender sessions help to create a supportive and informed dialogue around this essential cause.

Recognizing the importance of this initiative, SupBiotech has chosen to actively support our work by funding our workshops. This significant gesture allows us to strengthen our impact and roll out more initiatives, both among students and other audiences. This exemplary partnership perfectly embodies KMWP’s mission: to intervene where the future is being built, to sow the seeds of a more just, conscious, and united society.
